The founder of Twitpic image hosting Noah Everett has launched a microblogging service Heello as VentureBeat broadcast. By design and functionality Heello is similar in many respects to the service Twitter.
Unlike Twitter, the message length is limited to 140 characters in Heello. The messages are not called “tweets” but “pings”.”Echo” and “listen”are used instead of “retweet” and “follow”.
Unlike Twitter, in Heello the new messages are downloaded in real time. In the tweet a click on the toolbar at the top of the screen requires it.
In Heello integration is provided with Facebook and Twitter. Messages that the users place in their microblog may be duplicated in these social networks. The photo and the mark of the location can be enclosed to “ping”. In the future, Everett plans to release a mobile version of Heello which will allow the users to add video clips.
The launch of the service Heello became known shortly after Twitter had introduced the function of uploading photos. Twitter users had to turn for help  to other photo sharing sites before. Many of them were targeted precisely to work with Twitter as, for example, Twitpic, Everett started in 2008.
